This guide explains how to update a parent or guardian’s email address within a volunteer’s profile and how to request waiver/disclaimer signatures from parents or guardians of minor volunteers using broadcast emails.
Updating a Parent/Guardian Email Address
If a parent or guardian’s email address needs to be corrected (for example, due to a typo), you can update it directly within the volunteer’s profile. After saving the updated email address, you can resend the signature request.
Steps:
Scroll to the bottom left section labeled Waiver/Disclaimer Signature
Click the pencil icon to update the parent/guardian’s email address
Save your changes
Click Re-send to Parent to send a new signature request email
Requesting Parent/Guardian Signatures via Broadcast Email
If you need to request waiver/disclaimer signatures from parents or guardians for an upcoming event, you can send a broadcast email reminder.
Steps:
From the menu bar, navigate to Communicate > Compose & Send Email
Enter your subject line and compose your message
‼️Important: Be sure to include the{volunteer profile link}smart tag in your email so recipients can access the volunteer’s profile to complete the signature.Select/add your Recipients
‼️ Please note: Be sure to select the correct Recipients based on whether your waiver is attached to the Application or the Event/ProgramScroll to Message Filters and click the header to expand the options.
Locate the Disclaimer Signed section and enable the following:
