Both Jobs and Shifts have a description field called the Public description.
This field is typically used to showcase or explain the role and encourage volunteers to sign up.
This content is displayed on the Event/Program sign-up page:
Shift Descriptions
The Shift Description is only needed when a shift has specific instructions beyond the Job Description.
Profile Description
Jobs and shifts also have a Profile description, visible only to volunteers assigned to the shift.
The Profile description is ideal for sharing private or practical details, like parking instructions or dress requirements.
This content (in addition to the Public Description) is displayed within the following:

A note on images and embeds
Images and iframes are supported but require a publicly hosted URL, you cannot upload a file directly. If the source URL changes or becomes unavailable, the content will no longer display. Use these sparingly and test before your event goes live.
Job Documents
Documents can also be attached to any Job and will be visible to volunteers on the signup page, as well as the confirmation message email, the volunteer profile, and Shift Reminders & Email templates using the {job info} Smart Tag.
Please note that this feature is limited to Grow and Enterprise plan types.
