Shift visibility settings allow you to control where upcoming shifts appear for each Event or Program. By adjusting these toggles, you can determine whether shifts are visible on the VolunteerLocal Mobile app, calendar widget, or Application Gate Page.
How to Update Shift Visibility
From the menu bar, navigate to Events & Programs > Events & Programs
Scroll to the Event/Program, select Edit Detail

Within the Edit Detail view, scroll down to Shift Visibility section

Show or hide upcoming shifts in the VolunteerLocal mobile appDisplay shifts on the calendar widget
Show or hide upcoming shifts on the public-facing calendar widgetDisplay shifts on the Application Gate Page

This option is available only if the Event or Program is connected to an Application
Application Gate Page & Calendar Widget
If preview shifts are enabled on the Application Gate Page, additional visibility settings become available.
You may choose to display:
Shifts with passwords
Shift age restrictions
Shifts with qualifications
These settings allow volunteers to preview certain shift requirements before completing the full registration or qualification process.
Notes
- The Job and Shift must be set to Online to appear publicly
- Volunteers will need the associated Status, Qualifications & Age requirements to view shifts (with the exception of preview shift settings)
- Shifts will follow the Layout & Display settings, including:
- A shift with no spots available is removed from the signup page (if enabled)
- Do not display shifts that are __ days, or more, out from "today" (if enabled)
- A shift with available spots is removed from the signup page _____
