You can generate an export that displays both the total hours each volunteer signed up to work (shift hours) and the total hours they actually worked (check-in hours).
Steps to Export Hours from an Event / Program

From the menu, navigate to Volunteers > Export
From the list, select an Event / Program
👉 To include archived events/programs, first click "include archived events" in the instructions text.

Choose the Fields you want to include in your export:
Custom Fields: Fields you’ve added to your volunteer registration form [Application]
Standard Fields: Default fields tracked by VolunteerLocal
👉 Each field you select will become a column in your spreadsheet
- Enable the toggle 'Group by volunteer to get hours reporting'
Enabling this will add three columns to the spreadsheet, including:- Total Shifts
- Total hours by Shift Time

Total Hours by Check-in Time (data will only appear if checked-in tools are used and/or the volunteer has checked-in for the shift(s))
👉 Enabling this toggle to export each volunteer just once, rather than listing them for every shift

[OPTIONAL FILTERS]
- Signup time filter: This filter can be used to refine your Export by the time the volunteer completed the shift signup
- Shift time filter: Use this to customize your Export to show only the shifts that fall within your chosen time range.
- Job Filter: Quickly deselect/select the specific Jobs to include in your Export
- Job Location Filter: Quickly deselect/select the specific Job Locations to include in your Export

Volunteer Filter: List email address(es) separated by commas. Include the first name to specify volunteers with a shared email address.

Check-in Filter: Filter your Export by:
- All volunteers
- Include only volunteers who HAVE checked in
- Include only volunteers who HAVE NOT checked in
- Click the Export Volunteer Data button to create your CSV file
- Review the CSV in your preferred spreadsheet program
- The last row of the spreadsheet will include a cumulative total of the volunteers'
- Total Shifts
- Total Hours by Shift Time
- Total Hours by Check-in Time (data will only appear if checked-in tools are used and/or the volunteer has checked-in for the shift(s))

‼️ IMPORTANT: A pop-up message will appear; select CANCEL for applicants who have at least one shift.

This will create an Export of All Volunteers who have completed the Application and have at least one shift. Volunteers without a shift will not be included.
