Step 1: Create the event with shifts

Step 2: Export Shift IDs
- From the menu, navigate to Volunteers > Import
- In the first dropdown 'Application/Event:' select the Event / Program you want to assign
- In the second dropdown 'Job', select [advanced] multiple shift assignments
- Click the Download the SHIFT IDs button
Step 3: Export Volunteer IDs
- From the menu, navigate to Volunteers > Export
- From the list, select the [Application]
- From the pop-up question, Press OK for all applicants
- On the right column, select the fields you want to include
- Under Standard Fields, be sure to select Volunteer Identifier
- Under Standard Fields, be sure to select Volunteer Identifier
- Click the Export Volunteer Data Button
Step 4: Prepare Your CSV
- In Column A, list Shift IDs
- In Column B, list Volunteer IDs
- Each Volunteer ID should correspond to a Shift ID
- To assign multiple volunteers to one shift, separate Volunteer IDs with commas
Step 5: Import Assignments
- From the menu, navigate to Volunteers > Import
- In the first dropdown 'Application/Event:' select the Event / Program you want to assign
- In the second dropdown 'Job', select [advanced] multiple shift assignments
- Next, upload your CSV file from Step 4
- Match Shift ID to the correct column
- Match Volunteer ID to the correct column

Click the Import Now button
Step 6: Review your Assignments
- From the menu, navigate to Volunteers > Report
- Select the Event / Program from the dropdown
- Review your shift assignments
